While some families are at home bonding and catching up with hobbies and talking to friends and family online, other families are in crisis.  Some who find themselves not in a safe space are fleeing their partners during the Covid 19 corona virus pandemic,  lockdown and curfews.  But, how easy is it to report the abuse?  Statistics show that not many victims ar reporting in some countries and in other countries calls to helplines have soared.   However, this is now a rising international problem.

What will you do if you find yourself trapped with an abuser in these circumstances?  Well, agencies like Refuge, Respect and the Men's Advice Line might be able to help you.  There are also perpetrator programmes to help understand their behaviours and its impact on others.  Read News Articles below***.
 

The Founder of JHWC

The Founder of JHWC held an NHS Honorary post, she also spent a few years at the Hestia Women's Aid (part of Shepherds Bush Housing) in Uxbridge as an Honorary Psychodynamic Counsellor for Domestic Violence, supporting women and young mothers and children, and attending MARAC meetings in the Borough of Hillingdon.
