How you can be helped by your CLINICAL supervisor:
(a) Confidentiality (BACP) (NCS)

Ethically, clinical supervision should be monthly at 1.5 hours, although for some helping professions we can contract 1 hour. If you are in Managerial Supervision and not Clinical Supervision as well, maybe it would be a good idea to speak to your direct line manager to see how we can help you as best practice with parallel clinical supervision. We do advise to evaluate your workload from time to time to see if you need more or less supervision. ThEthical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2007).
Clinical Supervision with us will be bi-monthly or monthly, and ad-hoc, however if you need to cancel your appointment we need a minimum of 24 hours notice, although you can re-arrange bookings. We believe that if you are in a job that involves confidential disclosure, then it makes sense for you to be under Clinical Supervision for your personal, emotional and professional development and well-being for the duration of your job post and career in the field.
